Starbucks just announced that its original content series, Upstanders, will be returning October 10th for its second season.
With new content partners Amazon Prime Video and Audible, Upstanders Season 2 features eleven stories, in video and audiobook form, about everyday Americans who are doing extraordinary and courageous things to create positive change in their communities.
The series is once again produced by Starbucks executive chairman Howard Schultz and Rajiv Chandrasekaran, Starbucks svp, author, and former Washington Post senior editor, who created Upstanders help inspire us to be better citizens.
Further, actor Michael B Jordan will narrate Upstanders as an exclusive audiobook, which will be free to listen to on Audible. The audiobook will also include an exclusive introduction written and narrated by Howard Schultz, executive chairman of Starbucks Coffee Company.
“The Upstanders series is all about telling stories of ordinary people who demonstrate extraordinary courage. Rajiv and I hope this series will inspire everyday citizens to give something of themselves in service to others,” said chief of Starbucks. “Spreading that message has never been more important than it is today, and we are pleased to be working with content leaders like Amazon and Audible to amplify this powerful movement even further,” he continued.
In a new press release issued by Starbucks on September 27, Audible’s chief Content Officer, Andy Gaies, has expressed his excitement about the Upstanders Season 2.
“So much of what makes a great story is in what you hear,” said Andy Gaies. “Michael B Jordan’s beautiful narration brings these inspiring stories to life in an extremely intimate and approachable way. We are delighted that our millions of listeners can now keep the Upstanders series with them wherever they go, and no matter what they are doing. It is sure to enrich and uplift spirits throughout the course of the day,” the officer added.
